Ebay ranking system hack
Ebay - new score system hack
For sellers, a new system has been implemented at eBay. Instead of just the simple good/ok/bad system they've had at the beginning, now there are like five seperate things you can be rated on.
Of course, you as a seller can only rate the buyers with the old system. So, when they are a week in paying, you can neutral them, but what's the point?
Lazy buying people can just click through the five quickly, making it look like you are deficient in an area when you aren't. It's supposed to be anonymous, too, keeping you from arguing that someone torpedoed you for no reason.
I figured out how to tell who gave you what.
From the screen that shows how many stars you get, hover your arrow over the last star in each row. A numerical score (like 4.8) will pop up. Start a notepad file, and copy each of these scores down. When your score (122 turns to 123, for instance), go check the stars again. Compare the previous scores to the current ones. You will then know who gave you what, and you can go from there. So much for cutting your legs out from under you anonymously....
