Our Anthem in Spanish???

The Star – Spangled Banner in Spanish?

No.

This is the epitome of what is wrong with the US today. You move to a new country, you need to learn their language and figure out how to fit in. Not here. Especially in coastal areas, you can find places that you would think you’ve stepped into a whole other country.

So, now not only do we have to put up with people who refuse to melt in our pot, now there’s gonna be a Mexican version of our National Anthem. It’s not even a direct translation.

So, in answer to the question just posed to me, listening to the national msm, I answer, no. Quit revising and amending my heritage. Quit being jealous of what we have, and chipping away at it until nothing is left. Leave my anthem alone.

Some quick thoughts -

Some quick thoughts……

No tickee, no blogee –

I haven’t been blogging much lately, although there has been much to write about. Carpal tunnel in both arms has started to limit what I can peck out, and I’ve had a few Big Articles to produce. So, while all this term limits, baby beating, and other noteworthy items are making MSM headlines, I’ve been, of necessity only, silent.

I will share a quick story though. It’s a good one about the state we are in. The girlfriend was out shopping, so I asked her to get me some AAA batteries. Even at the Dollar Store © or whatever the name of the prolific shops hawking bargain basement wares, I figured they sold batteries.

She dutifully returned with a 4 pack, in official blister back-on-cardboard like you’d expect. What caught my eye was the graphics. It looked like what a first – year college student might do if you asked them to design a battery package.

BUT – there were name brand batteries peeking out in the pack at me. So, I start examining the package. In 1 or 2 point print on the right rear, I find something to the effect of – “for conservation and the environment, the batteries may be pre-used”.

Ain’t that some shit.

Hope this doesn’t catch on to the food utensil or feminine hygiene industries. Yuck…..

A friend wrote me and says I should talk about one of my last classes, a private investigator basic course I was the lead instructor for at the University of Tennessee. Maybe I will, but until then, you’ll have to just enjoy my pre-owned battery yarn (yawn?)
